In October, the Baltimore ABC2 TV station ran a local debate on the existence of God. Humanists were represented by Catherine Blackwell, president of the UMBC SSA. We will play a recording of the debate and discuss it. Then, in memory of the late Christopher Hitchens, we will play selections from his audiobook, God is not Great, read by the author in his inimitable delivery. Location: Howard County library, East Columbia Branch. Directions: From Baltimore, take I95 South to exit 38B to Rt. 32 West. Exit on Broken Land Parkway. Take second right on N. Cradlerock Way (this street is a loop and connects twice to Broken Land). In 0.3 mi., turn right on Overheard Lane. The library is on the right.Topic TBA. We will try having a few meeting in Columbia, MD, library, to see if the attendance is better.
