Description
We will be helping out at a sports event for kids with developmental or physical disabilities. The event is organized by Kids Enjoy Exercise Now (KEEN), a national non-profit. Volunteers will be paired one-on-one with the athletes (ages 5 to 15) to participate in individualized activities that appeal to the athlete’s personal interests. Athletic equipment–basketballs, soccer balls, hockey sticks, scooters, hula hoops, and much, much more–are provided. This session runs at Key Center School (6404 Franconia Rd., Springfield, VA 22150) from 10:45 AM to 1:45 PM. Please register only if you can stay for the entire session. No late arrivals and no early departures please. Volunteers should plan to arrive at Key Center School in Springfield at 10:15 a.m. for an orientation.
