Let’s meet at Hard Times Cafe near King St Metro (B/Y) on alternate Tuesdays from 6-8PM for some good humanists/skeptics/atheists in the pub. It’s a great way to build community and meet others. (Hard Times: http://www.hardtimes.com/ (zip 22314), about 2 blocks down King St from the Metro on the right side of the street. It’s basically a bar with good food, including a specialty in chili (including vegan chili).) We generally meet upstairs by the TVs, but you can ask the host/ess for the meetup and they should know us. Beforehand some of us will be flyering at the King St Metro Station starting at 5PM. Come for both or either. Keep an eye out for last-minute weather adjustments. The group kicked off with Rapture Party on Oct 21st and had 4 more meetings in 2012. About 25 different dropped by with attendance generally between 6 and 10, even through December. On Dec 20th, the group enjoyed an informal HumanLight and Solstice celebration with organizer Jason Torpy leading the group in contemplation of the enormity of the Solstice event and in toasts to reason, compassion, and hope for the future of humanity. Things are going well, and as the group grows, things will only get better.
